Jathedhar Iqbal Singh
Jathedhar Iqbal Singh Ji is touring the UK
from Dec 08 to Feb09. He will spend 2-week slots at every Namdhari Gurdwara and
perform katha, kirtan and halley de diwan. Sant Iqbal Singh is one of the most
prominent jathedars and hails fron Sri Bhaini Sahib. Here he has spend 23
years under the guidance of Sri Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji. He learned the art of
namdhari style diwans from his father and spend time with raagi Dardshan Singh
Ji too. Jathedhars depth and knowledge is immense and his method of delivery
is exceptional. His small catchy and rythymic tunes of the short shabads is
par-excellence. Below is the list of his diwans in Southall. Accompanying him
were ustad harbhajan singh (dholak), sarabjit singh (dholak). Backing vocals
were performed by ragi satvinder singh, gian singh, beant singh, sevak singh,
gurpratap singh, harbhajan singh gahir, bhupinder singh, gurtej singh, kuldip
singh chana, sarabjit singh.
