Namdharis all over the world have marked this unique day with various events. Namdhari Sangat Southall hosted a mela on the day. Lasting a marathon of 12 hours, it started with the Asa di Var and finished minutes before the stroke of mid-night.........more

Ustad dharmvir singh (sitar: Ustad Dharambir Singh raised in an a namdhari family, is a disciple of Ustad Vilayat Khan Sahib, sitarist of the Imdad Khani Gharana. He currently lectures at Leeds College Of Music). Ustad gurdev singh (sarod: Ustad Gurdev Singh is a disciple of the renown Sarod Maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan and was introduced to the Sarod by Sri Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji. Ustad harjinderpal singh (santoor) & Ustad kiranpal singh (santoor) are disciples of Santoor maestro Pundit Shiv Kumar Sharma. Kiranpal is the leading solo santoorist in europe. Ustad surjit singh (sarangi: Ustad Surjit Singh is a principal disciple of the Sarangi Maestro, Pandit Ram Narayan. He has accompanied leading musicians, Ustad Salamat Ali Khan and Ustad Fateh Ali Khan amongst others) with charanjeev singh & gurdev s sagoo on tablas.

 

Delhi Metro Rail Station named after Sri Satguru Ram Singh Ji:  With the blessings of Sri Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji, in a community interaction programme on 14.Dec.2007, all local associations and public representatives were unanimous in endorsing the demand of Namdhari Darbar for renaming the Patel Nagar (West) Metro Station as Satguru Ram Singh Marg Metro Station. Namdhari Darbar expresses its deep appreciation and thankfully acknowledge the renaming of Metro Station of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.

In a letter to the President of Namdhari Darbar, H S Hanspal, Chief public relations officer of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd, Anju Dayal states:
 

'Please refer to your letter dated 12/09/2007 regarding renaming of Patel Nagar (West) Metro  station. This is to inform you that the Patel Nagar (West) Metro station on Kiriti Nagar/lnderlok - Mundka Line, has been renamed as "Satguru Ram Singh Marg Metro station".'
